I am so pleased to see that Nancy Goodloe has decided to run for another term on the Ellensburg City Council. I know Nancy to be thoughtful, prepared and hardworking. Serving on the council is hard work; hours of reading, studying, listening and preparing. I know Nancy ticks all the boxes. Ellensburg will be well served by reelecting Nancy Goodloe to city council.
As the retired City Attorney for the city of Ellensburg, I enthusiastically endorse Nancy Goodloe’s reelection to Position No. 2 on the Ellensburg City Council. Nancy has been a caring, compassionate and thoughtful member of the Council. She has the ability to analyze difficult issues from different perspectives and always acts in the best interests of all Ellensburg residents, not just a few who represent special interests. At a time when our civil rights are under assault, it’s important to have a person with Nancy’s integrity representing and defending the interests of our most vulnerable residents, as well as the community as a whole. Nancy doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk at every Council meeting, and that’s why I’m happy to provide this endorsement to support her continued work for our city.
Nancy Goodloe has served our community for over 20 years. She is passionate about our community, and what it takes to guide Ellensburg in the right direction. Many years she was the director of the Kittitas County Health Department, and most recently served on the City Council.
I know personally how much she cares about everyone in our community. I worked with Nancy when she served on the board of directors of the Open Door (Free Clinic).
I endorse Nancy Goodloe for her candidacy for reelection to Ellensburg City Council.
She is honest, fair, helpful, and committed to our community. Nancy is easy to talk to, easy to have discussions with and not afraid of spending the necessary time to work out difficult topics. I know she will serve and be open to all community members, and I will vote for Nancy Goodloe.
I am writing to express my unconditional support for Nancy Goodloe for Ellensburg City Council Position 2. As long as Nancy has been on the Council, she has demonstrated a sincere, balanced, and knowledgeable approach to the issues that matter most to the residents of Ellensburg—a clean, attractive, walkable downtown—for business owners, residents, and visitors alike; clean, fun, and accessible parks and recreation; collaborative growth management in and outside of Ellensburg City Limits; and affordable housing options—not just for the wealthy, but for the families and hard-working citizens of Ellensburg who, because of the sky-rocketing prices of real estate in our county over the last decade, cannot afford to buy a home of their own. For all these reasons, and because she genuinely cares about Ellensburg, I am voting for Nancy Goodloe for City Council.
I am writing to endorse Nancy Goodloe for Ellensburg City Council, Position 2. I am a current city of Ellensburg resident. I work within the city of Ellensburg as a Manager and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for a private Vocational firm. I first came to Ellensburg as a student, attending the Mental Health Counseling program at Central Washington University after moving across the country from Ohio. After completing my program, I left Washington for several years, returning in June of 2012. I have lived here ever since and have worked at a variety of local organizations (Ellensburg School District, Thorp School District, and Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center – to name a few). I came back because this town and its residents welcomed me. I felt at home here – and knew I wanted to build a life here.
I grew up within a family that valued the importance of volunteering, respecting, welcoming others, and working together to solve problems. When I met Nancy, I could see that she valued the same things. Nancy has already served two terms on the Council, and I believe this puts her in a prime position to see what has worked, what still needs improving, and how best to reach the goals that require all the public servants within the city to work together. Nancy is respectful, dedicated, and not afraid to advance programs and activities that drive the city’s progress forward for all residents, not just those with the loudest voices.
In this age where anyone can smear another person online with little repercussion, Nancy takes the high road. She is here advocating priorities the City Council has voted for to serve the residents of the City of Ellensburg to the best of her ability. Before you vote this cycle, please consider what values you seek to see in the leaders who serve our city and its residents. I’m not really even talking about ideologies or beliefs that you share with the candidates. I’m talking about how those candidates live out their values. What behaviors do you want to see in your leaders? Do you want to see your leaders explain their positions with understanding for opposing positions? Do you want to see leaders respect each other and work together towards the agreed upon goals? Do you want to see leaders show up in public the same way they do on their council or private pages? I endorse Nancy Goodloe because I respect her, and I know that she is serving Ellensburg in a way that residents should be proud of. That is what I am looking for in a leader.
You know who represents me and mine on the council? Nancy Goodloe. She thinks about not only *what* to say at meetings but also *how* to say it in ways that will resonate with those she serves. Nancy is diplomatic, slow to anger yet passionate with a huge heart. She knows when to break out the jokes and when the people need a champion to help advocate for them and/or their respective community.
She is courageous and brave and her public speaking skills just keep getting better and better. She speaks with great diction and knows when to let others know to speak up too. Honestly one of the most disability- friendly and accessible people the council has seen since Bruce Tabb.
Even when rattled or worn from emotionally charged discussions, Nancy fights especially hard for those who have historically felt silenced and erased. Nancy is what a civil servant should look like and act like. I'm Team Goodloe.
I proudly support Nancy Goodloe for City Council because she brings a clear, unwavering commitment to building a city where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. In a time when true equity and belonging are more important than ever, Nancy stands out as a leader who not only understands the challenges faced by marginalized communities but also takes action to address them. She doesn't just talk about change—she leads it with integrity, compassion, and a collaborative spirit.
During these times of uncertainty, leaders must have the vision not only to get us through it, but the ability to approach social issues from a 360 degree point of view, in order to understand, communicate and listen to every one of our neighbors, who shares and are directly affected by decisions made by true leadership.
Nancy Goodloe possess the wisdom, experience and empathy to put herself in "someone else's shoes", thus deeply understanding different points of view, which is what's badly needed to represent critical issues that affect each one of us.
It is my pleasure to endorse Nancy Goodloe for Ellensburg City Council. I have known Nancy for more than a decade, and I have nothing but praise for her work on the council.
There are a number of things I appreciate about Nancy. The first of which is that when Nancy sees a problem, she works to gather and lead people to attempt to solve the problem. When Nancy began to hear that members of our community felt unsafe or unwelcome, she instigated a series of listening sessions to hear directly from those affected groups and helped to create solutions so that all Ellensburg residents could feel a part of our community. When Nancy became aware of the number of unhoused individuals in our community, she worked to find methods to help keep those individuals warm, safe, and fed.
Another thing I appreciate about Nancy is that she doesn’t just listen to rhetoric. She studies issues, talks to people, and uses this information to help find the best solution for all. I also appreciate that after doing due diligence, she is willing to change her mind based upon the information she has received.
Finally, although city council is supposed to be non-partisan, its members must work with citizens and other politicians who are partisan. Nancy builds relationships and works well with people from “both sides of the aisle”. She understands that her job is to represent all, and as such chooses not to engage in partisanism. Since Nancy Goodloe was elected to the city council, I have seen her work hard to see, hear, and advocate for all residents, and I have seen her work tirelessly to help us keep and improve the community we all love.
It is with great pleasure and a sense of social responsibility that I endorse Nancy Goodloe for re-election to the Ellensburg City Council. For over 20 years, I know her as a friend and a colleague in the health profession. As a City Councill member, she has proven to be thoughtful and compassionate as she seeks out and considers differing points of view and weighs perspectives to reach reasonable conclusions. She is a careful and deliberate communicator who does her research. Her leadership is needed now more than ever as our city continues to bloom.
I have known Nancy Goodloe for eight years, she gave me some terrific advice when I was fresh out of the Navy and looking for a way to be more involved in the local community.
She has been a quietly fierce advocate for the people of Ellensburg. Her knowledge of local conditions is unmatched, and I think she knows everyone and always has a good idea of how to solve a problem. There is no other city council member with her experience and passion for helping every member of our city.
I have worked with her on Veterans housing issues for years, and her support has been instrumental in getting things done for Ellensburg.
With her experience, commitment, and knowledge, Nancy Goodloe is the best choice for Ellensburg City Council.
I fully support the re-election of Nancy Goodloe for Ellensburg City Council Position 2.
As a former administrator of the Kittitas County Health Department, as a university professor for over thirty years, and as a long-time volunteer on the Kittitas County Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee (and the City Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee), Nancy has the skills to look at the many facets of a situation, listening with an open ear, compassion, and fairness. Once a concern is known, Nancy is dedicated to working to create a positive solution. She is a strong leader who truly believes in the inherent strengths, abilities, and rights of one and all.
In her role as a Ellensburg City Council member, Nancy has met with me upon my request, and supported my interests in providing culturally expressive and mental health services to underserved members of our city. Both on the Council and as an individual , I've seen Nancy's commitment to transparency and truth, both assets to sustaining accountability and effective governing.
Nancy has my vote!
Our City Council needs more people like Nancy Goodloe who is a straight talker about the real concerns of the city but does so with understanding, compassion and kindness.
Nancy has years of experience in public life. Nancy knows how to listen, gather and process information, make principled decisions, and do what's best for citizens now and those of the future.
