Campaign Platform

Managing the fast-paced growth of Ellensburg through the planning and vision reflected in a dynamic Comprehensive Plan and adopting City Code as needed to keep up with changing needs. These documents support a bustling downtown and historic district anchored by Unity Park, a gathering place that welcomes everyone to sit, visit, rest, be community. Other elements of my vision include: 

*Working with city staff and council to continue developing    

  transparency with the public.

*Strengthening the leadership of the DEI Commission to lead the 

  community toward a strong, resilient, and inclusive culture  

  where all who live here can thrive and invest in our community.

*Continuing to support the City Homeless and Affordable 

  Housing Committee and the County Homeless and Affordable 

  Housing Committee to steadily increase the inventory of 

  affordable housing in Ellensburg and the County.

*Keeping the dream of a safe, secure, resource-based, and 

  permanent living space for our homeless population in the   

  future, while providing the Cold Weather Shelter annually.

*Working as a member of Kittitas County Council of Government 

  to drive the implementation of the county-wide Economic 

  Development Plan goals.

*Expanding the fiber optic network countywide to provide  

  reliable and affordable internet service to every resident and 

  to businesses. 

*Expanding our green spaces and parks as new 

  development occurs. 

*Strengthening the financial sustainability of the Parks and 

  Recreation Department to ensure maintenance and upkeep of 

  our recreation facilities. 

*Maintaining our strong financial practices in City government.

*Honoring our rural heritage and small-town appeal.
